Tyson is overconfident but well meaning, more interested in enjoying life than having to partake in any particular responsibilities. He is quick to dismiss subjects that don't interest him and will often carry out his actions with a devil-may-care attitude. Despite his seemingly arrogant and rude demeanor, he treasures his friends and family, enjoying their presence.

Though he has an extreme disinterest in studying, he is smart, in simple terms, and is able to pass and get average grades. Although he is confident in his poetic talent, most of his poems aren't considered to be good. His strong sense of justice and his zeal to fight stronger opponents are what he believes to drive and motivate him through life.

Lean but muscular, Tyson is built more for evading and striking quickly than just pure strength alone. Tall in stature, he has a skinny but lean, muscular form and a lightly tanned complexion. His muscles are toned and defined throughout his entire body from his daily training and sparring regiment, and he has a developed six-pack. Tyson's face is slightly handsome, but nothing out of the ordinary. He also has medium length dark brown hair that he usually leaves alone, and dark brown eyes.

Tyson's clothing style stays the same, for the most part. He is most often seen wearing a black T-shirt with a white cross outline, a necklace, a black motorcycle leather jacket with red and white features, black and white full-hand gloves, greyish-black jeans, and white shoes with a pocket chain, though he sometimes wears a black long-sleeve shirt with a white cross outline, a white jacket, black fingerless gloves, blue jeans with a pocket chain and black boots.

Tyson fights using the Kisaragi style of ancient martial arts Japanese style of empty handed combat taught only to the Kisaragi clan members, who in this case, was his maternal grandfather, but Tyson's father was an exception. It focuses on utilizing the user's fists for their Qi abilities, generally pyrokinesis. It remains a legacy amongst the family's members and is traditionally handed down with each passing generation.

Tyson has a personal style of Chinese boxing (Kenpo), and uses it alongside his family's fighting style, incorporating a varying amount of kicks and elbow drops into his attacks.

Tyson was born into a well off family, as the first and only son born to his family. His parents weren't filthy rich, but they did have enough money to pay the bills. His father was a simple Kenpo instructor, who owned his own dojo in Honolulu, teaching Karate to his small but dedicated group of students, who included his own son. He met his wife who was the daughter of his former mentor and instructor in Karate, when he was 19 and she had visited her father's dojo during one of his lessons. After dating for 4 years, they became engaged, marrying two years later, and Tyson was born. When Tyson turned 6, his father began instructing him not only in Kenpo, but also the Kisaragi style of ancient martial arts. With his father running his dojo, his mother remained a stay-at-home mom, and even though his mother took care of him, Tyson would would observe and watch what she did when she was cooking in the kitchen, so that he could learn to cook and feed himself if necessary.

Tyson was enrolled in elementary school, and for the first couple years, he was just like every other kid, shy and quiet, but he was also very smart, and got good grades, though like all other kids, he rather play than study. Though he was smart, in simple terms, Tyson managed to become friends with a small group of his classmates, and throughout the years, he stayed with the same group of tight-knit friends all the way to high school. He went to his father's dojo every day after school, except when he entered high school he only went twice a week. When Tai was 14, he entered into high school, and despite his disinterest in studying, still managed to earn decent enough grades. Though his grades weren't stellar, it was his skills in not only guitar playing, and funnily enough, ice hockey, that managed to catch his attention of the most renowned high school in Hawaii, West Hope High School, which had a excellent sports program.

After finishing his junior year in his old high school, though he didn't want to leave his friends, Tyson knew his skills would improve a lot more at West Hope, and after he had managed to convince his parents to transfer him to West Hope, enrolled into the school, and is now starting the new school semester of his Senior year.
