With the start of a new school year, both students new and returning would enter into the school grounds, after exiting the station of the monorail that connected the island the school was located on to the mainland. Soon after they had all moved into the dorms and settled down, or arrived at the school if they lived off-campus, an announcement would be sent out over the school monitor system, as the voice of the Headmaster would filter out through the speakers, instructing all students and faculty to make their way to the auditorium for a school assembly. With such a large student body, they would be called by year, starting with the Freshmen, before moving onto the Sophomores, and lastly calling the Seniors. The auditorium filled up by this time, at the front, on the stage, the faculty could be seen seated in comfortable chairs... all except one. The chair located in front of the podium on the stage, was empty.
Stepping out of his office, the door closing behind him, he would make his way to the auditorium, striding through the empty hallways, his footsteps making dull thumps against the clean and polished floor. Reaching the auditorium, he would pull the door wide open, as the rabble in the auditorium died down almost immediately, the silence punctuated by low whispers and murmurs. Striding down the aisle, his hands clasped behind his back, once reaching the stage, he would climb the stairs, before taking his place behind the podium. Quickly glancing across the auditorium at the faces looking back up at, a small smile would work its way onto his face, as Elijah would begin the assembly.
"Good morning everyone, and welcome to another new school year. To those who are new or transferred to West Hope High School, I am Doctor Flynn, the Headmaster."

| I'M BREAKING YET UNBREAKABLE. Sil had spent much of her morning trying to figure out this whole monorail system. Having been originally from the East-coast one would have thought this to be a simple undertaking but she supposed that her years in California did not do her any favors. It also was a little bit embarrassing seeing as the transit only really functioned in one direction, to school and back, though the crippling anxiety had filled her with enough self-doubt at this point that she lingered on every torrent of passengers heading that way getting the occasional spout of courage to look onward towards her peers with a. "Hey could you point me in... ugh."
"Is this the way to school?"
Though her initially meek voice would be overlooked, her perceptive nature would catch on soon enough catching similar glimpses performing much the same actions on their way to the school. Nervous was being generous as she hadn't been to school in over a year and the stress of having to be put on the spot once again really aggravated her. Silver knew she was a smart cookie, that wasn't the problem, really she didn't know what the problem was. Perhaps the prospect of failure, it'd never been an issue before never crossed her mind that there were people expecting things of her but this year had changed things quite a bit for her. Catching the toad in her throat Sil would clasp a small briefcase to her chest and step out into the fray. Meek enough in appearance though her business looking attire may give a very different first impression. That was what she was going for, overcompensate for her lack of nerves at the given instance. Upon reaching the campus floors she'd immediately begin to get chided by a number of what would appear to be staff members guiding the student body along the way towards the auditorium. She'd follow dutifully though the numbers she'd been boxed into only made the anxiety worse clutching her case closer still. In the auditorium Sil would make her way to the age appropriate seat maintaining eye contact on the front stage however occasionally darting her hues to the nearest of entries hoping that a mad dash to the restroom may be overlooked right about now as she felt a hot sweat drip down the nape of her neck. Suddenly dead silence. A gulp coming out of Silver as she saw the young enough looking man take the podium and address himself as Doctor Flynn, their new headmaster. Well now she certainly had to prove something now didn't she. Quietly Silver would twitch in her seat letting her eyes wander a bit more towards those whom may be seated around her, get a real taste for the room. |

As he lived on campus, Tyson didn't have to worry about or bother with the monorail, instead, as he made his way into the main building after leaving the massive on-campus dormitory building, and headed to his locker, the nearby monitor screen would flicker on, the school's crest present on-screen, as an announcement would be broadcast through the entire building, instructing everyone to make their way to the auditorium for a school assembly. With the Freshmen being called first, even Tyson could conclude that the Seniors would be called last, so he would just take his time as he made his way to homeroom. A few minutes later, the Seniors would be called to the auditorium, and considering they were the last ones to arrive, Tyson would end up sitting in the very back of the auditorium, which suited him just fine. Taking a seat in the far right aisle seat, located in the very last row, he would prop his feet up on the seat in front of him, which was empty. Talk about lucky. Resting his hands behind his head, as the chatter swelled around him, almost immediately as the noise grew louder, it would die down instantly as the doors of the far left aisle were pulled wide open, and a tall man strode in. Turning his head slightly to look over, just barely making out the man as he made his way down the aisle and up onto the stage, he would then introduce himself as Doctor Flynn, the Headmaster. So this was the new Headmaster. Tyson had heard from a couple of his new buddies that the previous Headmaster had retired a year ago, and someone new had taken over. The man seemed amicable enough, but based on the fact his presence alone was enough to shut all the students up, it was clear there was more than meets the eye to the Headmaster. A slight smirk working its way onto Tyson's face, he'd keep quiet, but this was going to be one interesting assembly, no doubt about it. ▲ WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

With all the students settled and quieted down, as he briefly scanned the entirety of the auditorium, he would see the students had varying expressions on their faces, some appearing curious, others bored, and still some others appearing slightly scared, almost intimidated by him, the small smile would continue to grace his face, as Elijah would continue on after introducing himself.
"As you begin the school year, no matter what year you are in, just remember, this is just the tip of the iceberg that is your life. Whether you are just beginning your high school years, or in the final year of it, these are meant to be some of the best times you'll spend with each other. Do not waste it like I did in my Freshman year."
A bit of humor, as it were, but also true. In his Freshman year, he had become known for being a slacker who cracked corny jokes and terrible puns among his graduating class. It wasn't until he met his best friend, that he became less of a slacker, and studied a bit more than he usually did, mostly because as Varsity Captain, he had to have decent grades at least. Sure, he didn't graduate at the top of the class, but he did manage to make the Honor Roll, somehow.
"Now that the obligatory Headmaster's words of wisdom are out of the way, as the returning students are probably aware, our Student Council President and Vice President have graduated, leaving both spots open. Two weeks from now, elections will be take place, and anyone who wishes to elect someone, or perhaps themselves, may do so. Campaigns will take place soon after, running for five weeks, after which, voting, which I will inform you all of when it will occur, will take place. Until then, anyone who is interested, I would advise to start thinking on what and why you wish to do if you become a part of the Student Council."

| I'M BREAKING YET UNBREAKABLE. With the resounding effect of the headmaster taking the pedestal Silver would direct her attention forward no longer prompting to avert her gaze about the room and resign her full attention forward. Despite the apparent air in the room Silver didn't feel the least bit put off by his words rather the opposite. A small grin emerged at his words feeling that she would likely fall over similar pit falls potentially in the future if not the past. The headmaster's words then finally struck a chord forcing Sil to perk her ears up. Council Prez and Vice Prez? She'd never really been in a school before where they put any emphasis on a self ruled student body but the idea of it caught her attention. It would be apparent to anyone paying her mind that she was interested at the very least in what the position entailed; Silver's posture had shot upright, her hands playing taut little knots between each of her digits, and her eyes refused to leave the headmaster's. Finally she'd break for a moment, her hand shooting upright and her gaze cast down briefly mostly hoping that by some chance she'd be ignored or at least waved off to a more private discussion than be addressed in front of the entire student body. If she was called upon she'd answer though after a brief pause of disbelief that she'd been chosen. "So what can someone expect the duties of these positions to be?" Her voice confident though likely there would be a couple of chuckles from the student's that had been here far longer than she already viewing her as a fool. It didn't matter, though she'd feel the repercussions later on. |

they say we what we are but we don't have to be I'm bad behavior but I do it in the best way. ▼ TAG: N/AOUTFIT: Attire the one with the baseball hat. | ♦ Sable was no student but how could she ever pass up the opportunity to through herself into the cesspool of the high school sea once again. Despite her actual age she still fit the mold rather easily. This was molded by her chosen attire for the day. Sable had always been one to dress however she felt like. She didn't necessarily have a normal set trend. Today it was a red baseball cap twisted backwards with a red baggy hoodie, baggy jeans tucked into a pair of boots. Essentially everything on her was loose fitting.
♦ Sable strolled through the now dissolute halls since everyone gathered like little sheep into the auditorium to listen to the usual welcoming ceremonies all heads of schools do. Casually enjoying the cherry flavored lollipop in her mouth, she finally made her way into the assembly while Doctor Flynn spoke about starting up a student council. The dirty blonde situated herself at the back, leaning herself against the wall placing one foot up on the surface. She folded an arm around her stomach and rested the elbow of the other on it in order to fold the stick of her lollipop. The satisfying flavor pacified her for the time being. Captivating greens roamed about the room hooking onto a few here and there before looping over to the girl whom asked a question regarding council duties. Seemed as though he already had an eager, wanting candidate ahead of him. Sable's reasoning's for being there or even the ruse would go unknown just like much things would. Sooo... now what?
"Assembly's are always so boring."
♦ She said to no one but herself, despite anyone near could possibly hear and probably would agree.

And Tyson was right, this was starting to become quite the interesting assembly. Between the Headmaster's words of wisdom coupled with a some humor and near the middle rows of seats, one of the Juniors raised a hand, waiting to be called on after the good Doctor started talking about Student Council elections and all that school political jazz, Tyson couldn't help but smirk even more, especially after hearing a familiar voice speak up after being acknowledged by the Headmaster. So Silver had an interest in the Student Council it seemed. Interesting indeed. Hearing the auditorium door quietly open off to his right, Tyson would turn his head slightly to look over, as he'd see a young woman with dirty blonde hair and a baseball cap on backwards slip in, taking up a spot against the wall beside him. Letting a low 'heh' as he heard her words, he'd turn his head back to face forwards, he could agree with that. Assemblies generally were boring as hell, especially if an old coot was in charge, and this one probably would've been no exception, if the previous Headmaster, who was, surprise, an old man, were still here. But their current Headmaster was anything but old, so maybe, this assembly would have something in store. Besides the usual Student Council schpeel that is. "Heh, maybe. But who knows, something more interesting could happen."Just as the young woman seemed to be speaking to no one in particular, so too was Tyson, as he said it beneath his breath. Don't disappoint him now, Headmaster. ▲ WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

"I'm ready for the change, meet me in blue sky" | Late late, late, she was running late. Vivian struggled out of bed from the female dorms rolling into whatever mismatching pairs of attire she found strewn on the ground regardless of if they were clean or not; she really didn't have anytime to be bothered with her appearance seeing as this was supposedly a mandatory assembly or at least that's what she heard. Once out the door a spring would infiltrate her steps bringing the lithe girl across the courtyard and into the main hall sneaking at the heels of a tall well composed man whom she didn't regard with any sympathy as a wry hand clawed at his buns trying to push past his rear flanks and the door and make way into her seat. Of course she didn't come to regret her motions until later as she pounced into her seat. The senior would take up a spot near the rear within earshot of Sable before giving herself the levity to breath once more. Here dark violet hues turning down to what she'd adorned herself hoping that she somehow managed to get out looking presentable at least.
From the bottom up she could tell that her socks were mismatched, a thigh high Halloween sock that said "Boo" adorned with bats and ghosts of the like; the other pair was a heel slip that was neon green. A grey skirt with black undershorts seemed fairly well put together all good there. A white wife beater with a plaid long sleeved top that was clearly wrinkled and mismatched on the wrong button hanging askew as Vivian saw no need to fix it at the present. Vivian's hair on the other hand would seem fine... from the front, however from Sable's perspective it'd be very apparent that she'd only just gotten up out of bed as a birds nest left her flank scattered and dismayed.
"Miss anything good?" She'd cough up through rugged morning breath trying to fit in a bit more casually. |

His attention being grabbed as Elijah saw a hand shoot up into the air from near the top section of the rows of seats, his eyes would land on the owner of the hand, a girl seated in the Junior section, as he would give her a reassuring smile, having noticed her cast her gaze down briefly. It was clear she was nervous, especially with the thought of being addressed in front of the entire student body, which is why Elijah would try to reassure her as much as he could, and keep the attention on her as brief as possible. Flicking his hand slightly, to call upon her, a couple students would indeed snicker here and there, but one look from Elijah was enough to shut them up immediately. As friendly as he was, he did not tolerate students laughing at other students, especially if they were new and did not know the duties that were part of the student government. Turning back to the girl, he would nod at her, indicating she could sit down, before addressing the student body as a whole, instead of solely addressing her.
"I'm sure the majority who have been in the school since their Freshman year are well aware, but being in the Student Council is more than just coming up with fundraisers and getting money to fund extra-curricular activities. As a member, you are the ones who can make a difference in your school life. I am the one who ultimately decides whether an extra-curricular activity will be allowed or not, but my authority is pointless without the student council sharing the ideas, interests, and concerns of the student body to me first. As a member of student council, your duties are to not only address and voice any concerns and problems your fellow students are facing, but you will also have a say in making each year exciting, or dull as as a doorknob. However, it is not all fun and games. As a member, you will be expected to conduct yourselves in a manner befitting of the Student Council. If any word of abuse of your powers reaches me, I will not hesitate in removing you from the council and all your powers. If that little speech hasn't deterred you from your decision, then I do implore you to think of how could you make a difference in the school."
Pausing briefly, the doors of the auditorium having opened quietly twice during his talk, the first time a young woman wearing a baseball cap entering and taking up a spot against the wall at the very back of the auditorium, the second time another young woman looking quite out of breath and collapsing into a seat up in the Senior section, though a few students would turn around to look at the sound during as he talked, most paid little attention to the interruption. Though he himself had not been on the student council, instead, he had been the Varsity Captain, and the duties were essentially the same. He had been in charge of not only the sports teams, but also coming up with events and such. It hadn't exactly been his forte, but his high school years had been full of fun moments... even if his high school years in general were shit. Whoever said high school would be the best years of your life, clearly never went to one of the CPS high schools.
"With that said, next week, clubs and sports teams will be starting back up. It is up to you whether you wish to join one or not, but I'm sure many of the clubs and teams would love to have new members, especially with some of their members having graduated."

Silver would muster up a bit of courage standing at the forefront of numerous gawking eyes keeping sane only by locking eyes with the headmaster til her question was answered. The appeal to her was fairly straightforward she could contribute and to an extent even give back to this new community before she would be branded an outcast. Or perhaps in any sense if that didn't work hide behind a pile of work organizing and veiling herself away. "Thank you." She'd muster up the words mostly falling silent caught in her throat before moving to sit back down. Her eyes would never once leave the headmaster's gaze following them as they shifted about the room sending off direction to which she could perhaps start. If worst came to worst she could always establish some sort of club and make something of herself there. Yes. Silver would nod in response to his words as though it was just the two talking in an office, finally seated she'd adjust in her seat tucking her jawline in so that she could nonchalantly glance over her shoulders to make sure she'd fallen out of the spotlight. |

they say we what we are but we don't have to be I'm bad behavior but I do it in the best way. ▼ | ♦ Hearing the voice chime back to her open statement, Sable's hues casually shifted over to locate the source. It was male so that eliminated a few and she was aware she wasn't speaking too loud - so that eliminated another set of individuals. The source became fairly simple to find after that considering everything including the direction. Besides by the words alone fit the mannerism in which he sat which was with his feet up. She stared momentarily before the doors opened and a girl not so gracefully jumped into the first available seat she could get.
♦ Sable looked over to the disheveled girl. She appeared as though she had a rough night and morning. Was that any of her concern or care? Not one bit. Truthfully non of this was her concern considering she wasn't a student at all. Appearances can be deceiving. However there was supposed to be something here for her interest or rather the interest of Phantom Corvi. She wasn't an official recuriter - not like her 'father' or as she puts it 'sperm donor' would allow it anyways. Sable had...'daddy issues' to which she had no problem disclosing at times. So far nothing was of interest. No one either but then again she just got there and it was an assembly which meant chit chat chat - blah blah blah. Phantom Corvi wasn't her true reason she had others, but only time could tell on that matter. She glanced over to the boy who spoke before while addressing the pair conjoingly.
"Interesting is a matter of perspective."
♦ She smirked popping the lollipop back into her mouth in the progress of addressing the girl too.
"You missed the pink elephants on parade."

His eyes quickly shifting over to the side as a the doors opened and a girl looking like she just jumped out of bed can crashing into the first available seat, which happened to be the one his feet were propped up on. Left with little choice, Tyson would lower his feet down onto the ground, not exactly happy his foot rest was now occupied, but what could you do. Letting a slight smirk appear in response to the girl's reply, more so when she addressed the other girl. If there had actually been pink elephants on parade in the auditorium, then this really would be a high school for all sorts. Returning his attention to the Headmaster, or whatever little Tyson actually decided to devote to listening, all he got out of that long address was that the Student Council had power, use it responsibly, or lose your position, blah blah blah. Student Council was something that did not interest Tyson at all. He didn't real care about having power in the school, he had only one goal in mind, and that was to become the best ice hockey player in the entire school. Everything else he could care less about. "... Heh. So the hockey team would love to have new members huh?"Oh, Tyson had no intention of joining. He aimed to beat them and knock them down a peg or two, not help them. But to hear the team who would love nothing more than to beat Tyson was looking for members, as their senior players had graduated, was amusing to him. Not to mention ironic if they did end up asking him to join. "Can't wait to see who will join what... Or who will ask who to join."▲ WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

"I'm ready for the change, meet me in blue sky" | 'Pink elephants on parade...?'
Vivian would stare back at the girl that'd answered her though given her current predicament of zombification she could hardly make out whether or not the girl was serious or not or very much for that matter make out the words entirely. A groggy stare phased back in response as she let out a loud yawn stretching to the heavens with one hand and with the other dragging her knuckles beneath her eye socket prying away the sleep that'd settled on her lashes.
"Cool cool, yea parade woo!" She'd respond with her best 'raa-raa' impression that could be mustered at this hour whilst slowly reclining in the chair none too concerned about the previous owner's value of it.
Lazily hearing out the headmaster she forged the remainders of her dream within her head only seeming to catch every fourth or so word from his lips falling back into her fantasy dreams where Vivian stood above a crowd accepting all merits of degrees and considerations of her numerous talents. Before too long her head was rolling back against the backrest and leaning over behind her, a great gob of drool forming at the corner of her lips rolling off her cheek to the floor. |

Quickly casting his gaze around the auditorium after giving Ms. Storm a polite nod in response, when it was clear to Elijah that there were no further questions, he would give the students a slight smile, though whether there was any warmth behind it, was difficult to figure out. Aside from the small commotion in the very back, which he would choose to overlook, seeing as it was causing no one any trouble, as most of the students in the general area were used to tuning out other noises not pertaining to them. Not to mention he could hear the low murmurs of groups of students striking up conversations here and there, and while he had no doubt his right-hand woman, Ms. Vixen, would get them all back in line with just one glare (or just make the male students go google-eyed), unless there was a last-minute question, he had said all the obligatory Headmaster words of wisdom.
"Now then, you all have the rest of the day off, so don't waste your last real day of freedom. Tomorrow, classes will begin, so if you do not have your schedule by now, I would suggest getting it before the end of today, unless you want to spend tomorrow morning running around the school searching for your classroom."
"... So, this is the high school they secretly funded and control. How interesting..."
Outside the auditorium, on the roof of the main building, unbeknownst to everyone inside, five hooded figures would be overlooking and staring down into the window of the hallway the doors leading into the auditorium were located. One was down on one knee, his arm resting on top of his knee and a wide, open-mouth smirk just barely visible beneath the edge of his hood, two stood flanking either side of another figure, both clearly female despite their hoods hiding their respective features, while the one in the middle stared at the auditorium doors, almost as he was trying to will them open, and behind the middle figure, was the tallest, his back facing the others.
"Heh... I can't wait to see their faces when their precious pet project comes crashing down."
"Hm hm hm... They will rue the day they decided we weren't good enough to join their so-called gangs."
"What shall we do now, leader?"
"..."
"... We should continue to monitor them. If the students become enough of a nuisance... We'll take them down along with their precious school."
Wordlessly agreeing, the five would then take their leave, starting with the man in the middle, though it was clear, this was the first, but not be the last time, they would appear. When they would appear however, would remain to be seen...

Silver would go quiet resigning herself to her seat absently as the assembly simply went on and closing out with the rest of her day being allowed to take off. Somehow she felt as though it was a little bit wasted somehow as though her answer wasn't fully responded to but she wasn't brave enough to speak up again. Shaking her head she'd rise and make her exit with the rest of her classmates and spend the rest of the day preparing herself for the classes ahead. |
