At first glance, many things might come to mind while thinking of Ruby. Being insane or a heartless killer (or both) being some of them. Ruby's indecisive personality (with things such as her name) and unusual activity and behavior gives off the impression that she just escaped from an asylum. Because busting into rooms, looking around, and then running off isn't normal. Nor is not knowing your own name—but insisting that it isn't “Breanne Winterstone” even though it actually is. Her odd taste in clothing also makes her seem mentally insecure. But that's just based off of looks.
When one actually takes a closer look and talks to her, they might get a darker impression of her. Ruby, being covered in scars as she is, gives the impression that she's been in many battles and lived through all of them—this, plus her usually stoic expression and tone of voice—gives the impression that she's a killer. Her athletic performance and flexibility makes her seem like she could have been an assassin before attending PHS #552. She can say some pretty blunt things at times, and her intelligence is often questioned since she doesn't seem to understand a lot of academics taught in schools (hell, this is the first real school she's attended).
It could be thought she was a half-wit or never learned them because, who needs to understand the science to cutting off someone's head? But her being a heartless assassin does seem like the most thought-of impression because there's so much going for it. Even when asked about her eye patch (should they know there is one hiding under her hair) she'll give a cold stare and then bluntly say “My brother gave it to me” as though it was the most usual thing, and as though it didn't phase her. Those who know nothing about her could quickly assume that her brother stabbed her eye out and she grew up in a very abusive household.
In all reality, Ruby is very kind and empathetic, often reaching out to those who seem to be in need. Sure, she can kick ass when needed, and she's not afraid to hurt people when the time comes, but she really doesn't like to, and she almost always feels bad afterward. But she is not a killer—or at least, she's not an assassin. Should the time come where she has to take life, she would probably be able to do it, but only as a last resort.
She doesn't trust people right off the bat, but over time she's bound to open up and show emotion—letting it be known that she just wants to be loved and accepted like most other girls. She's not necessarily intelligent when it comes to certain academics, but she's a fast learner and is far from an idiot—she just hadn't been exposed to many things. But when it comes to reading, she's got at least a college level of reading comprehension, and her handwriting is identical to calligraphy. She can be oblivious to things at times—so sometimes she'll hurt someone's feelings with the things she says without meaning to, and then seeming like a brat for not apologizing because she didn't know she did something wrong.
Though she's intelligent, she does space-out from time to time and sometimes doesn't always seem like she's quite there, but there's reasons to it. If she feels safe and there's not much going on, she's comfortable with letting her mind wander. However, Ruby may have a nearly photographic memory (at worst she has to read over something a few times before memorization), she does suffer from selective memory loss, so there's several blank spaces in her past that she's unsure about. And it's not likely that she'll forget certain events at the school, there is the possibility that it could happen.
All in all, she's a nice person who does her best to make the right choices, and she's quite smart though a little oblivious or uneducated with some things. But when she makes a friend and opens up to people after time, she'll become extremely loyal and would be willing to do anything for their sake.

Hair: Ruby was born with pearly white hair that sometimes reflects other colors (it often has a glint of purple) but is, all in all, white. Her hair is about waist length with her side bangs covering her left eye (and her eye patch). Her hair is straight with absolutely no body to it what so ever unless the wind happens to be blowing it gently.
Eye color: Violet, (?)Red
Body Type: Ruby is tall with a slender body, though not many get a chance to see her physique from her clothing choice that shrouds her in mystery. Though she's athletic and flexible, her body is skinny but she can pack a punch quite well when the time comes, and she's working on her curves. She's not the curviest person, due to her healthy diet and lively activity, but if she did put on a little more wight she probably would have nicer hips and thighs. Though she's not exactly busty, however, she still does have a nice body so if you compared her to Maka from Soul Eater you'd probably get the wrong idea.
Physical Flaws: Scars. Ruby has scars all on her hands, arms, legs, midsection, even on her chest. She almost always has bloody bandages wrapped around a segment of her body from recent injuries—whether it'd be a scrape on her hand, cut on her leg, or whatever. It's just from her rough-housing most of the time, but if she gets injured from a fight it doesn't phase her, either, since it's not uncommon. However, on her left arm there's two large, long, thick-looking scars that don't look like she recived from your average pocket knife or switchblade. But she claims to not know where she got it from. Aside from her white hair (which some people might consider “weird”, because natural albinos aren't very common) one physical flaw that she's not too proud of is her left eye. She hides it under an eye patch, and though it can be implied she lost that eye, she's just hiding it for it's unnatural color of ruby red. But we'll get to that later.
Apparel: Ruby typically wears dark, comfortable clothing, in which she can move easily in and blend into the shadows with (though she does stand out in the daylight because of her choice). She usually hides under a dark cloak which she's almost always got on her persons at all times. She often wears the hood up to obscure the top half of her face, though it's not uncommon or strange for her to have her hood down, either. She usually wears black tights, and a black leotard that has long sleeves. And since she's always wearing her cloak, it's hard to really see her physique even though her clothing would normally show her every curve. Around her neck is a silver locket that her brother gave to her, and she treasures it only second to her eye patch.
Ruby was born into a cruel world—that is undeniable, but her case was slightly different. She was born the second child—the young sibling to her twin brother, whom she now calls “Jet”. Though the two had been named “Breanne” and “David” Winterstone, they were quickly given up to an orphanage in France by their parents after their eye colors had set in and both children had been born with white hair, one violet eye, and one blood-red eye. They were considered “demon children” because of their eyes—which was said to give them “abnormal” powers (though neither are aware of what that “power” might be). As such, they were raised by strangers and treated horribly for being “demon children” and were treated as such.
When they grew slightly older, however, the two siblings wandered into a catholic church where their lives changed drastically. One of the priests who worked there noticed the poor, mistreated children and took them in, educating them and teaching them how to read and write, as well as giving them a place to stay and food to eat. Both Breanne and David lived at the church and worked there as a nun and chore-boy. Though they lived in modern-day France, there were still many old traditional aspects to it, so they adapted to old ways and while other kids were texting on cell phones, they were praying or working in the church in fitting attire. Though neither of the children were taught things like mathematics or science, they were very aware of how the world worked, as well as how to read and write (in German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish, mind you! Not to mention the original Hebrew it was written in...). And even though they had been sheltered by the kind priest, they still were horribly mistreated by the rest of the church and other citizens. Because of this, Ruby started training with her brother in sword fighting when they hit age eight, and though their fighting was often silly and light-hearted, after years and years of practicing, they both became masters and learned how to defend themselves. Why they chose swords instead of guns? It's unknown, but Ruby claims that it was because swords are highly symbolic and significant to her and that she wants her sword by her side at all times—as her loyal companion.
The two siblings were nearly inseparable, and they showed very close bonds. David was a good big brother to Breanne, and she likewise looked out for him. Though they weren't rich, they still managed to do nice things for each other. Such as on their tenth birthday, Breanne got David a purple satin ribbon that she'd saved up for, and David returned the gift with a silver locket. After receiving the locket, Breanne grew a fascination with jewelry and the makings of fine pieces of metal and gems. She was so obsessed with it, David nick-named her “Ruby”, which was a precious gem and also the color of her left eye. She, in return, nick-named him “Jet”, a type of metal used in many Victorian-styled pieces of jewelry. They eventually got so accustomed to their nicknames that they'd use with each other they almost forgot to respond to their given names. However, despite the many good memories Ruby had of her brother, things would undoubtedly get worse and worse for the two of them...
Breanne and David continued to get abused for their “curse”, and eventually it grew unbearable. During one of their medieval annual festivals, things took a turn for the worst. Some of the citizens were picking on David, and Ruby lashed out on them, drawing her sword and yelling abuse to them. They didn't respond so nicely. Mobs beat the twins down, and even threatened to kill them. David was taken away and dragged to the guillotine that was on display for a theatrical reenactment, and though it was designed so it couldn't chop heads off anymore, Breanne freaked out and stopped fighting, knowing that there wasn't much she could do... she was escorted back to the church, but she couldn't bare to look at the disappointed faces of the priest, so she left. She waited for David to return home, and she'd tell him that she wanted to leave this place forever.
He came back from the festival several hours after curfew, looking even more beaten up than when she'd left him at the guillotine. He explained it was all fun and games and said “don't worry, it was just reenactments. People used to burn demons and witches at the stake back then, I'm fine. It was all just acting.” He knew better, but didn't want to worry her and wanted to make light of the situation if he could. When he heard her proposal of leaving, he didn't say anything against it. And the next day, he presented her with a gift—a black eye patch that he'd spent the rest of the night making from the black leather cover to his bible. He told her that if they were going to leave and start over, they may as well give the appearance that they were normal people who happened to have violet eyes. She accepted the gift, though unfortunately she would never get to live a free life with her brother. That night, there was a fire at the orphanage where they used to live, and David refused to stand by and let the children get burned to death. He ran into the building, and Breanne saw many people and children leave, but she didn't see her brother. Right when she was about to run in there to get him herself—the building collapsed.
Ruby does have memory loss from traumatic experiences in her history and though she remembers most of what happened, there are still blank spaces that she can't fill in. Although unlikely, it is also possible she'll experience some memory loss within role play under severe circumstances.

╳ Combat
Ruby tries not to fight too often (though she can be aggressive at times) and she mainly just dodges and gets away as fast as she can—running from battle or otherwise. However, if there is no escape, she's familiar with basic fighting so she can pack a good punch or kick and is used to pain so she can take a hit too. However, if the fight is off-campus, she's probably going to win because she'll have her sword equipped and is almost unbeatable in swordplay. Unless she's up against a gun, she's probably going to win because she's learned how to use one sword against even ten knives and still be victorious.
